Fabric-phenolic resin laminates – laminated plastics, reinforced with fabrics from spread fibers. Binding substances in fabric-phenolic resin laminate — thermosetting synthetic resins (polyether, phenol-formaldehyde, epoxy, polyamide, furan, organosilicon, etc.) or thermoplastics (polyamides, polycarbonates, polyolefins, etc.).
Properties of fabric-phenolic resin laminates depend on nature of fibers in fabric, characteristics of the fabric itself, amount and properties of the binder and production technology.

Method of production:
Fabric-phenolic resin laminate products are made by layer-by-layer laying or winding fabric with applied binder on jig according to product form with following contact, vacuum, autoclave or press forming, and also mechanical processing of fabric-phenolic resin laminate sheets, plates and slabs.
This is because of special structure that fabric-phenolic resin laminate sheets have many advantages. Its mechanical «flexibility» permits to drill, press and cut the material as necessary. Meanwhile drilling it is easier than metallic part. The part finally will be resistant to impacts and mechanical damage, permitting to use fabric-phenolic resin laminate in production of radio components, namely boards.
Specific feature of fabric-phenolic resin laminate is its flame proofness. Despite the combustible material in its composition, fabric-phenolic resin laminate is very resistant to fire. Improved version of fabric-phenolic resin laminate, epoxy glass cloth laminate, has even higher resistance parameters. That is why in mechanisms where temperature in certain units reaches up to 150 degrees Celsius, fabric-phenolic resin laminate is often indispensable.
