PTFE-4 BASED ANTIFRICTION COMPOSITIONS, BLANKS FROM PTFE COMPOSITIONS
Polymer Company offers rods, sheets and sleeves of PTFE-4 and its compositions, able to sustain working temperature in range from -60С to +260С.
Compositions are introduced to improve parameters of heat conductivity, hardness, abrasion resistance, reduce thermal expansion coefficient and reduce degree of product deformation under load. All compositions are tolerant to PTFE processing temperature (360°C).
Popular fillers for PTFE-4 are inorganic materials: finely ground coke, asbestos, graphite, bronze, molybdenum disulfide, carbon fiber, glass fiber, boron nitride, quartz, carbon black, finely ground zirconium, potassium titanate, calcium fluoride.
Application of PTFE-4 compositions in production of rods, sleeves and sheets by compaction and mechanical processing permits to obtain high quality products possessing antifriction properties — sliding friction bearings, piston rings, sealing cuffs, filters, valve diaphragms, packer rings, etc.
Selection of filler and its percentage depends on product application conditions: temperature, speed, loads, wet or dry operation conditions, and other factors.
Conditions of application of the compositions are given in table below:
