Varnished fabrics
Varnished fabric – special material being a base impregnated with certain composition, permitting to obtain final product with given specific characteristics. Synthetic and natural fabrics, and also glass fiber may be used as base for varnished fabrics.
For impregnation are used polyester, oil, organosilicon and other binders selected depending on requirements to the final product.
Process of varnished fabric production passes through several stages:
- Production of base;
- Impregnation of base (several times);
- Thermal treatment of each composition layer.
The best varnished fabric is made of glass fiber and has impregnation with PTFE-4. In such way they obtain high quality fluorovarnished fabric, having improved dielectric properties, chemical and thermal resistance, and excellent working characteristics.
Despite the huge range of varnished fabrics, the fluorovarnished fabric has undisputable advantages, among which:
- high resistance to heat and cold (products from flurorovarnished fabric work in temperature range from minus 100°C to plus 250°С.)
- resistance to aggressive components;
- low heat conductivity;
- excellent antifriction properties;
- excellent resistance to adhesion.
Thanks to these characteristics flurorovarnished fabrics are widely used in food, textile and other industries, where they are used:
- to make reinforced foiled sheets;
- to insulate electric devices;
- for anticorrosion protection of steel fittings;
- for heat insulation of heating elements used for welding polyethylene and thermoplastic materials;
- to make trays for bakery products.
